Our approach

Because a child’s first five years of life are so important, we want to help families provide the best start for their child.

We meet families and children in their homes. At Child Health Partnership we provide at-home support to children and parents to promote the health and well-being of families facing challenges in our community. We provide families with child development and positive parenting education, at-home support to low-income families with prenatal and postpartum nursing education and support to boost positive birth outcomes, developmental screenings for children age 0 to 6 years, health and education support, self-sufficiency and resource sharing.

Our services meet the standards of success established by Families Forward Virginia and CHIP of Virginia. At Child Health Partnership we serve low-income local families with infants and young children, pregnant or parenting teens and many refugee and immigrant families.

Our Impact

Since 1991, Child Health Partnership has served over 5,500 children from 3,500 families in our communities.

Child Health Partnership has been supportive in my goals as a mom and in my personal life. I’ve achieved goals with staff support, even during tough times. There’s always hope.
